UNCG Camp and Conference Services
The Office of Housing and Residence Life invites you to house your camp or conference at UNCG this summer. Important dates are as follows:
- We provide convenient, affordable accommodations on a nightly or weekly basis from May 15 to August 1.
- We must have a signed reservation on file no later than March 1, 2013, for all camps and conferences who request summer 2013 housing.
At present, we DO NOT operate our conferences and camps in a manner similar to a full-service hotel, with individual room cleaning services. Our staff is available on-site for three hours each night (from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.) at a central location and remain in the residence halls overnight for the duration of your camp or conference. At this time, we do not maintain a full-service, 24/7 desk.
However, our accommodations are more affordable than most area hotels. The convenient and safe access to the rest of the UNCG campus and its amenities should be taken into consideration when making your summer plans. Our summer conference staff is trained in customer service and we strive to provide good service to groups staying in the residence halls. As always, our main goal is to provide a memorable experience for every conference and camp that stays with us during the summer.
We offer two styles of accomodations: traditional-style halls and apartments.
Traditional-style halls
In general, traditional-style residence halls are double-occupancy rooms located on both sides of a long corridor with community bathrooms that serve the floor.
Apartments
The Spring Garden Apartments offer the off-campus feel that adults generally prefer, along with the benefits that come with living on campus. They include four bedroom units with a kitchen, living room and two bathrooms for four residents to share. They also include a full-sized bed, dresser, built-in desk with chair and a ceiling fan with a light. The apartment rate is higher than the traditional-style rate.
Amenities Common to All Residence Halls
The following amenities are available in every residence hall this summer:
- Air conditioning
- Wireless internet access in every room and common area
- Full kitchens, laundry facilities, vending machines and common areas with TVs on at least one floor per building
- Beds, desks and wardrobes or closets
Please note:
- Pets are not allowed in residence buildings.
- All buildings on campus are Non-Smoking.
