Spartans by Design

Application deadline extended until Noon, Monday, September 21, 2009.

Have you taken your room from Bleak to Chic?  Prove it!  Enter the “Spartans by Design” Best Dressed Room Contest.  Rooms will be judged on style, creativity, detail, best use of space, and overall impact*

Up to 3 winners could be selected per hall.  First, second, and third place winners in each hall will receive $150, $100, and $50 respectively placed on their SpartanCard accounts through the SpartanCard Center.**  First place winners in each hall will automatically be entered into the campus-wide contest for the best dressed room.  First, second, and third place winners of the campus-wide contest for best dressed space will receive $400, $250, and $100 gift certificates for the UNCG Bookstore to purchase Spring 2010 class textbooks.**

Judging will be conducted September 21—29 (new judging dates).  Judges and photographers will be entering rooms to judge and take photographs of entries, which will be used for future marketing purposes such as publications, website virtual tours, showcased as showrooms for the Office of Admissions and Housing & Residence Life special events, and featured in articles of University publications.  Winners will be announced at a reception on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 (new reception date) at 6:30pm in Ragsdale Conference Room of Housing & Residence Life.
