Returning Room Selection for current residence hall students wishing to come back to the residence halls for the 2009-2010 has recently concluded. For those individuals who were not able to select their room assignment for the upcoming academic year, please know that you are guaranteed a space in the residence halls as long as your application remains active with us. The Assignments Office will work to make assignments throughout the rest of the semester and the summer as space becomes available. Students without a current assignment for the 2009-2010 year are encouraged to regularly check their email account as well as the online housing assignments system (RMS) for a housing assignment.
What if I want to update my hall, meal plan, or roommate preferences?
Log back into RMS, click “Update Application” on the left-hand side menu, and choose the appropriate link for the preference you would like to update. Preferences may be updated until an assignment is made.
How will assignments be made?
Assignments will be made based on the number of credit hours you have at UNCG as of the Fall 2008 semester, your building preferences you indicated on the initial housing application you completed between January 26 and February 16, and on where spaces become available.
How do I check to see if I have been given a housing assignment?
Upon an assignment being made, an email should be automatically sent to your UNCG email account. You may also check your assignment status by logging back into RMS, clicking “Assignments” then “Rooms” on the left-hand side menu. This link will allow you to see if an assignment has been made for you for the 2009-2010 year.
What if I want to cancel my housing application for the 2009-2010 academic year?
To cancel your housing, please complete the online cancellation form found at http://hrl.uncg.edu/apps/cancellation.php. Before completing and submitting the cancellation form, be sure to review the “Cancellation Policies” section of the Housing & Dining Contract 2009-2010 for any potential charges associated with cancelling your contract.
