Does Something in Your Room Need to be Fixed? Submit a Work Request to FIXT!

The Office of Housing and Residence Life is responsible for maintenance services in the residence halls. If you require services, you should call 334-FIXT (334-3498) or go to FIXT online to submit a work request. Once FIXT is contacted, a work order is generated to have a repair completed. It is our policy to respond to work requests within 36 hours. It is recommended that FIXT be alerted to problems as soon as possible.

The FIXT office is staffed from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. If you need help after these hours, please call 334-FIXT (334-3498) and you will hear detailed instructions on what steps to follow in a variety of situations.

Workers are in and out of campus buildings from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to make necessary repairs. They are required to announce themselves and to knock before entering student rooms/suites and public bathrooms. When a representative from the Maintenance Shop/Physical Plant arrives, he/she will be wearing a UNCG name tag and carrying a work order that describes the job to be done. You are entitled to ask to see these credentials before permitting the individual into your living space.

Residents are expected to use care in the use of University facilities and furnishings. When damage occurs in the residence halls, repair and/or replacement costs will be billed to the student(s) responsible. If individual responsibility for damage cannot be determined, the cost may be divided among residents of the room, floor or building. Find specific charges for room damages here.

Note: The password to use just before submitting your request is "housing"

Please do not submit a work request if you are having difficulties with the internet connection in your room do not submit a work request to FIXT.
