Does Something in Your Room Need to be Fixed? Submit a Work Request to FIXT!

Housing and Residence Life's (HRL's) Facilities Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Project Office are responsible for the physical condition and appearance of 26 residence halls, consisting of approximately 1.6 million square feet of building space and more than 5,000 beds. Our goal is to provide a clean, safe, secure and attractive living environment for potential students, residents, staff, and faculty within the residence halls. We are committed to making the campus living and learning experience a positive, enjoyable, and memorable component of the student experience at UNCG.
Facilities Operations is comprised of several departments with dedicated, skilled, professional staff trained in the various trades required for the maintenance, repair, renovation, cleaning and general upkeep of campus housing facilities. Services offered range from routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping, to project planning, design, and construction.
Need our services in a residence hall facility?
In an effort to better serve our constituents and to support sustainability initiatives, HRL has created a paperless work request/work order process using iPads. We encourage residents to submit an on-line request using their UNCG email address by clicking here, or we can assist by phone you at 336-334-3498 (FIXT). In order to get a timely response, detailed information will need to be conveyed accurately. Please submit work requests as early in the day as possible during normal business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Monday through Friday. We also have limited staff on duty from 4 p.m. – 1 a.m., Monday through Friday to address immediate facilities concerns and to perform additional routine building maintenance. Based on priority, we attempt to address requests within one business day, however, during certain times of the year requests may require additional time.
Residents are expected to use care with University facilities and furnishings. When damage occurs in the residence halls, repair and/or replacement costs will be billed to the student(s) responsible. If individual responsibility for damage cannot be determined, the cost may be divided among residents of the room, floor or building. Find specific charges for room damages here.
Please do not submit a work request if you are having difficulties with the internet connection in your room do not submit a work request to FIXT.
