    • Due to the delays of the 24-25 FAFSA, housing may not have prepayment waiver information available until late February. You can still apply before this date and once HRL is given SAI information from financial aid, we will automatically upload this information to your portal. Please note: your housing application is not complete until a prepayment is received or waived.
    • UPDATE for Transfer and Grad Students as of Feb 24, 2024:
      • HRL understands that some students are waiting on their FAFSA to qualify for a prepayment waiver and we wish to give all students equal opportunity to complete the application by the time the Self assign period beginning on March 1. For this reason, if you are waiting on financial aid information because you believe you will qualify for a waiver, we have a new option. Due to the delays in the 2024-25 FAFSA, HRL is now giving the option to submit your 23-24 FAFSA if you had an EFC of $1000 or less. You can submit this document on Artemis by clicking “Submit 23-24 FAFSA.” This document of your 23-24 FAFSA will need to have your name and clearly state your EFC of $1000 or less. If you have questions, please email hrl@uncg.edu.

Once you have completed your housing application and paid your $200 prepayment, you will be able to choose your assignment when the self assign period begins. If the Self Assign period is open, you will be able to self assign 2 business days after completing the $200 prepayment.

Each apartment has a full kitchen with all of the appliances and counter space you need to make your own meals and refrigerate them for later. Residents should provide their own pots and pans, coffee makers, etc.

Toilet paper is NOT furnished to students in a suite or apartment. Individuals must purchase their own toilet paper. Housing and Residence Life recommends that residents develop a system to share costs associated with purchasing toilet paper throughout the academic year.
