Information for the Fall 2024 Housing Application will be available by January 15. The Housing Application for incoming first year students will open on February 1, 2024. We strongly encourage you to fill out your FAFSA by February 15, 2024 to meet UNCG’s priority filing date. File by the priority date for the best access to the maximum aid available.
Once you have completed your housing application and paid your $200 prepayment, you will be able to choose your assignment when the self assign period begins. If the Self Assign period is open, you will be able to self assign 2 business days after completing the $200 prepayment.

The best way to find roommates or friends is to start with the Roommate Finder.
Once you have assigned yourself to a room or been assigned you can log into Artemis and click “View my Assignment.” This will show you your assignment and your roommate’s name and UNCG email.
On the first year housing application, there is the option to add a group pin. During the application each roommate will need to input a decided on 4 digit pin. When the students go back into Artemis to assign to a room, they will need their roommates student id number and the roommate pin. If you find a roommate after completing the applications, you can log into Artemis and click on the “Group Pin” button to add or change your pin.

Yes. Upperclassmen and first year roommate pairs will be able to be assigned by the first year student. The group must live in a traditional hall.
Students are able to assign themselves to a room. If a student chooses not to self assign, they will receive a housing assignment by July, unless accepted into a living-learning communities. Living-learning community housing assignments are generally made before July.

No, currently UNCG does not allow students to build lofts in any residence hall on campus.
Yes, the microwave and refrigerator must meet specific size requirements. Microwaves less than 800 watts are permitted. Refrigerators cannot exceed 3.5 cubic feet.

First year halls are traditional-style housing, with rooms located along a long corridor with community bathrooms. These bathrooms will be cleaned and toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels will be supplied.
Yes. All residence halls at UNCG are equipped with wireless internet in community spaces, common areas, and bedrooms.

There are conveniently located laundry rooms in every residence hall all of which operate free of charge. See the Residence Halls website to see locations of laundry rooms in each building. All washing machines and dryers in the residence halls operate free of charge.

All residents will be required to complete a roommate agreement with a roommate or roommates. The roommate agreement form, located on Artemis, gives you an opportunity to set general expectations for your living environment while exploring visitation, cleaning responsibilities, use of personal property, and personal habits of everyone in your room, suite, or apartment.
