Special interest housing is an opportunity for undergraduate students who share a common interest to live, learn, and grow together. There are signature residential learning experiences based on academics and thematic interests that help establish one-on-one relationships between faculty, staff, and students in a close-knit residence hall environment. More residence hall options are available to students who apply to and are accepted by special interest housing communities. In addition to any application required for special interest housing, students must also apply for housing.

ESports and Gaming

First Year Students, Limited spaces for selected upperclass students (SO, JR, SR)

Located in Weil-Winfield: Students who participate in the Esports and Gaming Living Learning Community should have an interest in esports or tabletop gaming. Students who select into the Esports and Gaming LLC will have an opportunity to live and learn together. Through our specialized events, programs, and faculty our students will be able to build connections with peers, faculty, and staff at UNC. In addition to gaming and programs, we would have a faculty lecture series from UNCG faculty who study the impacts of gaming and the mind. We want to encourage students to reflect on the importance of sleep, hygiene, nutrition, hydration, movement and mental health when gaming. Lastly, students will have exclusive access to the ground floor classroom where we will have tabletop games, gaming PC’s, Xbox’s and other gaming consoles.
