Move In

For those who have not yet picked up their keys, they will be available in your hall beginning on Wednesday, August 9 at 8 a.m. For those who already have their keys:

• You may only park or stop in approved university parking locations. The locations reserved for Stop, Drop, and Roll are no longer an option.
• If you are being dropped off, please identify a parking lot close to your hall and exit the vehicle quickly. Do not park where you do not have a valid permit.
• For those who need to park, you may park in open Parking Decks for an hourly fee
• Vehicles parked in fire lanes, or other areas not designated for parking will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

The “Fall 2023 Early Arrival Form” will be available in ARTEMIS beginning on July 7, 2023. Early arrival charges are as follows and will be placed on your student account in September, 2023:

• Friday, August 4, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., for an additional $100
• Monday, August 7, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., for an additional $50
• Tuesday, August 8, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., for an additional $50

Early arrivals must come to the Office of Housing and Residence Life in Ragsdale/Mendenhall between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to check-in and receive keys. There will be no check-in on the weekend (Saturday, August 5 & Sunday, August 6), so please plan accordingly.

If you are planning to arrive after 5 p.m. on August 14, you will be considered a late arrival. You must send an email to hrl@uncg.edu to hold your assignment after the check-in deadline, otherwise your housing assignment could be changed or canceled per the housing contract.

You can use the “What to Bring/What Not to Bring” lists as a packing guide. IMPORTANT NOTES for Fall 2023 Move-In, Stop, Drop, and Roll Process: Please bring ALL belongings that you need for the fall semester for Stop, Drop and Roll, and move them into your room during Stage 1.

• Students living in apartments and suites should bring their own cleaning supplies.
• No perishable items should come to campus with you during Stop, Drop and Roll, as you won’t remain on campus.

Please see the Campus Dining website with more information about how to change your Meal Plans via your UNCGenie accounts. Please note: all students are considered commuter students until housing and meal plan charges are posted on student accounts in late June/early July.

It’s easy to find all housing assignment information. Simply log onto Artemis. Once in Artemis:

• Login using your iSpartan username and password
• Click on “Housing Assignment” at the bottom of the page to see if an assignment has been made for you or to see who has been assigned as your roommate. You will also find your roommate’s email address.
