Best Dressed Room Contest

YOU COULD WIN BIG AND ENJOY YOUR ROOM ALL YEAR!
2024 the 16th year that the Office of Housing and Residence Life will sponsor the Best Dressed Room Contest, a competitive tradition at UNCG. All students living on campus can participate in this room-decorating event.
Easy to enter
All you have to do is deck out your room, grab your camera, phone, or tablet and take pictures of your room. Choose your favorite three shots, and upload them (along with the entry form) for the first round of judging.
Grand prizes include up to $650 in merchandise that you select
Rooms will be judged on style, creativity, detail, best use of space and overall impact. Winners will be selected from each Residence Hall Area, these winners will automatically be entered for a chance to win the grand prize, there will be a prize awarded to the top 3 voted rooms. Everyone has a chance to win one of the 4 random $50 prizes!
(Please note: The quality of the photos will not be judged. Judges will only be looking at how your room is decorated, for purposes of selecting hall winners.)
2024 More Ways to Win!
For the 2024 competition we have added the UNCG Spirit Award, Director’s Choice Award and Best Room Tour Video. Submissions will automatically be considered for the Spirit and Director’s Choice Award. If you want to be considered for the $250 prize of Best Room Tour Video, submit a link to a video of you giving a room tour in your Best Dressed Room Entry Form. See below for details
Best Room Tour Video Information
Videos should be no more than 2:00 minutes and at minimum must include your first name and hall name, room theme, 1 thing in the room you couldn’t live with out and other fun or interesting pieces of your room. Do not say your exact room number or reveal any other personal information. Violations of Housing and Residence Life and/or University policies will result in disqualification
To enter, students must complete an entry form and upload room photos no later than 11:59 pm on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

In all cases, participants must be present to win, or designate a friend to receive the prize for them.

The person listed as the Primary Contact on your entry form will receive a receipt of your entry information in iSpartan email. If you don’t see it shortly after submitting your entry, please check your spam for an email.
Your photos will be judged and, if you win Best Dressed Room for your residence hall area, you will be contacted by September 27, and you will be notified when the judges will come to see some of these rooms in person for in person judging during the week of September 30.
All participants are invited to a prize reception on October 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Tillman Smart room (in Shaw Residence Hall in the Quad), at which time all winners will be announced and will receive a prize. Winners MUST be present to receive prizes, or email [email protected] to have a friend claim on their behalf.
