Dr. Tyeesha “Tye” Wesley joined HRL in 2022. She received the B.A in Psychology with a Business minor from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Tye received her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Leadership with a concentration in Student Affairs from Valdosta State University and her doctorate in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University. Fun fact: Tye was born in Germany and German is technically her first language even though she doesn’t speak it anymore.

Aaron Kidd joined HRL in 2020. He received the Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Aaron received a Master of Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Fun fact: Aaron has a Black Belt in mixed tradition martial arts.

Jayla Beeler joined HRL in 2019 as a Coordinator for Residence Life (CRL). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Sociology from the University of Kentucky and her Master’s in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Loyola University Chicago. Jayla is known for her intentional, student-centered approach and her commitment to building inclusive, supportive communities where staff and students can thrive! Fun fact: Jayla was once a semi-finalist for the TV show American Idol.

D.J. Moore, Assistant Director for Academic Initiatives and Experiential Learning

D.J. Moore joined HRL in 2025. D.J. received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Lander University. D.J. also received a Master of Education in Higher Education from UNC-Wilmington and a Master of Human Resource Development from Clemson University. D.J. has a passion for developing strong partnerships across campus to help create a supportive and welcoming residential experience. Fun fact: D.J. is Betty White’s #1 Fan and is an avid Funko Pop collector.

Gabby joined HRL in the summer of 2025. Gabby received her Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies and her Master of Arts in Counseling Ministry from California Baptist University. Fun fact: Gabby has her motorcycle license and owns a Kawasaki Ninja

Max joined HRL in 2025. Max received a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business with a minor in French from Jacksonville University, and a Masters in Business Administration also from Jacksonville University, concentrating in Leadership and Marketing. Fun Fact: Max lived in Paris, France for 3 years and joined the rowing team in college never having rowed before. He also likes to be outdoors being active and enjoying the warm weather.

Rana joined HRL in 2025. Rana received her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine and PE Coaching from Averett University. In 2024, Rana also earned her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership from Averett University. Fun Fact: Rana is musically inclined with playing the piano and drums in the Church.

William Harmonay joined HRL in 2022. Will received his Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and English Creative Writing from Rider University, and his Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut. Fun Fact: Will has worked as a haunt actor at multiple haunted houses.

Stephanie Ochoa joined HRL in 2024. Stephanie received a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on Physical Education from Winston-Salem State University. And later received her Master of Education degree in Higher Education, with a focus on Administration & Policy from the University of California, Riverside. Fun Fact: I am a avid DIYer and love making piñatas, enjoy cooking and baking, and love to run 5ks in costumes (even though I am not a runner nor a track star). I also enjoy hiking and spending time with my dog Luna Rose!

Joshua Pearce-Perry joined HRL in 2023. Joshua received a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology, and later received a Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University. Fun Fact: Joshua was present for the 2022 Celebration Bowl where his alma mater NCCU Eagles upset the Jackson State Tigers in overtime led by Coach Deion Sanders and future Heisman winner Travis Hunter.

Yahira Robinson first joined HRL in 2020 as a Resident Advisor. Yahira conferred her Associate of Arts degree in General Education from Guilford Technical Community College. She conferred two degrees – a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Yahira earned her most recent degree, a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education also from the G! A fun fact about Yahira is that she never missed a day of school from Pre-K to 12th grade!

Imani Williams-Swittenberg joined HRL in 2023. Imani received her Bachelor of science in Therapeutic Recreation from Winston Salem State University. She later went on to receive her Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Organizations from North Carolina Central University. Imani has a true passion for community, helping others, and providing equal opportunities to others. Fun Fact: Imani lived in Costa Rica for 5 weeks to study abroad.
