LaFarin Meriwether joined HRL in 2019. She received her B.S. in Agricultural Economics and one in Public Service and Leadership from the University of Kentucky. LaFarin received her M.B.A from the University of Cincinnati and her doctorate in Higher Education from Florida State University. Fun fact LaFarin is a Black Belt in Taekwondo.

Aaron Kidd joined HRL in 2020. He received the Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Tyeesha Wesley, also known as Tye, joined HRL in 2022. She received the Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Business minor from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Tye received her Master’s Degree in Higher Education Leadership with a concentration in Student Affairs from Valdosta State University and her doctorate in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University. Fun fact, Tye was born in Germany and German is technically her first language even though she doesn’t speak it anymore.

Allisen Joined HRL in 2022. Allisen was a first generation college student and achieved two undergraduate degrees in American Sign Language and Deaf studies and Speech Pathology with a focus in Neurology. Allisen earned a Masters degree in Organizational Communications with a thesis in power dynamics and conflict resolution. Allisen loves to use her interest in communications to connect with individuals on their level and has a passion for volunteering and giving back to her community. Fun Fact: Allisen speaks American Sign Language Fluently.

Stephanie Ochoa joined HRL in 2024. Stephanie received a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on Physical Education from Winston-Salem State University. Fun Fact: I am a avid DIYer and love making piñatas, enjoy cooking and baking, and love to run 5ks in costumes (even though I am not a runner nor a trackstar). Yahira Robinson, Coordinator for Residence Life, Phillips/Hawkins

Yahira Robinson first joined HRL in 2020 as a Resident Advisor, serving in this role until 2022. She then transitioned to the position of Graduate Assistant for Residence Education, a role she held until transitioning into her current role as Coordinator for Residence Life.
In 2018, Yahira conferred her Associate of Arts degree in General Education from Guilford Technical Community College. In 2022, she conferred two baccalaureate degrees – a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2024, Yahira earned her most recent degree, a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education also from the G! A fun fact about Yahira is that she never missed a day of school from Pre-K to 12th grade!

Alex Rosenbery joined HRL in 2023. Alex attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and received a B.A. in Criminal Law and Justice, and Political Science with a concentration in Law and Courts, and a minor in Social Justice. After undergrad, Alex attended Clemson University and received a M.Ed in Counselor’s Education with a focus in Student Affairs. Alex is passionate about creating safe spaces for students to show up as their most authentic selves, and enjoys hiking, true crime podcasts, and trips to Trader Joe’s! Fun Fact: Alex is currently working towards a certification in relational meditation!
