Meet our Admin Ops Team!
Guy Sanders, Associate Director of Administrative Operations
Guy Sanders has been working in on campus housing since 1978. Guy came to UNCG in 1990 after serving in a variety of positions at UCLA including Coordinator of Academic Support Programs, Assistant Director for Staff Development and Judicial Affairs, and as a manager of one of 1984 Olympic Village areas. Guy earned a B.A. in Political Science/ History, an Elementary/High School Teaching Credential, and a M.A. in Education at UCLA. Guy is also a UNCG alum, having earned an MBA from the Bryan School. During his career, Guy has provided leadership in a variety of areas including alcohol education/prevention, recruitment and retention, community service, emergency response, and the promotion and implementation of student technology.

Mary Steele, Assistant Director for Marketing
Mary Steele became a Spartan in June of 2022. After starting her career in the hospitality and tourism field, she discovered her passion for marketing at her alma mater, UNCW. Mary received her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing in Spring of 2024.

Diana Roman, Assistant Director of Occupancy Management
Diana Roman joined HRL in 2019. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Winston-Salem State University. Diana received a Master of Education degree in Higher Education Student Affairs from Western Carolina University. Fun fact Diana has a passion for converse shoes.

Kaci Miller, Coordinator for Access and Conference Services
Kaci joined Housing and Residence Life in 2022. She is a UNCG alumni who received her Bachelor of Arts in 2020. She later received her Masters of Higher Education Leadership from Appalachian State University in 2022. Fun fact, Kaci also has a new found hobby for photography.

Preston Smith, Coordinator for Technology
Preston joined Housing and Residence Life in June of 2017. He came to HRL from central ITS where he supported faculty, staff and students since 2013. Preston is an alumnus of the Bryan School of Business at UNCG, with a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics.

Earl Smith, Coordinator for Technology
Earl Smith joined Housing and Residence Life in December of 2024. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Technology from Methodist University. He loves technology and has been providing IT support for educational institutions for the last 7 years. When he is not tinkering with technology he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
