Housing Information for Interns

Interns will be housed in Lexington Hall in Spartan Village. Individuals will be housed in 2 bedroom apartments and have the ability to select their roommate if requested on the application, otherwise, a roommate will be assigned to them.

Bedrooms

Bedrooms are furnished. The beds are XL full size beds. Queen sheets are recommended.

GETTING AN ID CARD

You will need to acquire a UNCG ID card as this will be your access card to get into your residence hall. Upon completing the summer intern application and affiliates request form, interns will submit a photo to the Spartan Card office. If you arrive over the weekend, you will be given a temporary access card and will need to get your UNCG ID card from the Housing office Monday morning. At this time, you should also return the temporary card. To expedite the process, interns will submit a photo online so the card is ready to be picked up upon arrival. Note: You must complete the account activation, have your username and password, and have completed the application and affiliates request form before you can submit your photo.

To submit your photo, follow the steps below:

• Visit the Spartan Card web site: https://spartancard.uncg.edu/
• Click on ‘Get a SpartanCard’ on the left bottom of the page
• Click on the link that says “SpartanPhotoLink”
• Click SpartanCardPhotoLink again
• Instructions for submitting a photo will pop up
• Scroll to the bottom and click “Campus”
• Use your new username and password to log in and follow the directions

The Spartan Card Office will have your name and will initiate making your ID.

Kaplan Center for Wellness

All students will have access to the Kaplan Center using their UNCG ID Card.

Parking Permits

Students will receive a parking permit. The summer residential parking will require a “B” permit.

Policies

• All UNCG buildings are non-smoking.
• The key to the apartment opens the entry door and a particular room within the apartment.
• A $75 charge will be assessed for a lost key.
