Location & Building Features

Grogan Hall is the home of Grogan Residential College, which is an academic and social community for first- and second-year future professionals and performing artists. Residents will receive support for academic, professional, and personal growth with project-based and team-based learning. Grogan College’s courses fulfill UNCG’s General Education Curriculum. Grogan College provides an immersive environment for intellectual and social growth with creative leadership and social programs. The best part is that classrooms and faculty offices are located right in Grogan Hall, where you live!

From the talent showcase, Grogan Night of the Arts, to the Grogan Galleries, which features student work, Grogan College’s traditional programs provide opportunities for students to improve their leadership and achieve personal and professional goals within a collaborative and supportive community.

The 7th and 8th floor are not part of Grogan Residential College, so other students can request to be assigned there as part of general student housing.

Grogan Hall provides easy access to walking trails through the wooded areas of campus, as well as to the College Avenue and the Gray Drive areas, where all of the other traditional residence halls are located.

Two elevators in Grogan carry students up and down all eight floors. The building layout offers double-occupancy rooms located on both sides of a long corridor, with community bathrooms that serve the floor (designated by gender). There’s a large community room on the ground floor with space to study, watch TV, or socialize. Residents can play pool, or use the full kitchen and laundry facilities, all on one floor.
