Guilford Hall is the home for Strong Residential College, which is an academic and social community for students that focuses on environmental and social sustainability.
With courses fulfilling UNCG’s General Education Curriculum, creative leadership and social programs, and a program manager office and classrooms located in Guilford Hall, Strong Residential College provides an immersive environment for intellectual and social growth. Strong Residential College’s programs provide opportunities for students to grow their leadership and collective impact within a collaborative and supportive community.
Guilford is centrally located on “College Avenue,” an expansive pedestrian walkway that runs from North Drive to Spring Garden Street. Academic buildings, university dining, the Elliott University Center and the Jackson Library are all a short walk away.
Guilford has three floors of double-occupancy rooms in seven unique room configurations. Guilford residence hall offers unique architectural features, such as high ceilings, angled stairwells, and gabled windows overlooking a paved courtyard.
Guilford also has a large formal parlor on the first floor and a recently renovated kitchen and bathroom. Laundry facilities are available in the basement.
